Don't panic, this little forum game won't take too much of your time to play it.. well, except for me, of course..
For those who don’t know I'm With Stupid yet: it’s basically played like Family Feud.
Each participant answers correspondingly to a package of 5 questions per round (10 rounds in total). However, it’s not important to give a “right“ (or „one’s most favourite“ in this case) answer, but one that will be most likely given by as many other participants as possible. Hence the points each answer/participant receives result from the amount of entries that are corresponding.
For instance:
“Name an influential band from the 1960’s“ : your answer is “The Beatles“. Two other guys did also choose that answer. 63 people voted for „The Monkees“ instead. Thus each one of them receives 63 points, while you only have 3 points on your account. Too bad...
Of course, winner is the one with the most points after all 50 questions have been put, answered and evaluated.
Note:
send me your answers via
jadepalooka@googlemail.com,
DON’T POST THEM HERE!
Everybody is free to join and leave the game at any later stage. No explanations for the answers needed.
Deadline for the first package is next Wednesday (, I propose..).
Good luck!
PACKAGE 1:
1. name a British/Irish/Northern Irish band whose debut album was released in the 1970’s - except The Clash
2. name a North American band whose debut album was released in the 1980’s – except Nirvana
3. name an artist/group outside of North America/Europe - except Bob Marley
4. name a Motown song from the 1964-69 era
5. name an artist/group that released an album in the 2000’s and whose surname begins with /first letter is an A - except The Arcade Fire
oh, btw: DON'T FORGET TO MENTION YOUR ACCLAIMED MUSIC USER NAME IN YOUR MAIL (in case you have one..)
alright, forget about the Bob Marley BS. as schwah correctly objected, islands "north of the Panama-Colombia border" (thanks, wiki) are commonly considered as North American countries as well. which, well, does exclude Marley either way.
on the other hand, the nature of this game's not supposed to deal with RIGHT answers anyway at all, hence...
I hope I didn't come off as a pedantic a@&hole. I've seen North America defined different ways. Since there is no right answer, as you point out, it's not like this is a faulty Who Want to Be a Millionaire question.
I'm guilty too but it seems a lot of people are using the AM charts... maybe a rule (based on honesty since it can't really be enforced) that from now on we don't peek?
I'M WITH STUPID Round 2

I haven't seen Bruno post here before. It seems some of the less popular answers are from him, which would make his contributions here all the more needed!
Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue is worse. Never has a song made me feel ashamed of being American except that one. At least Crank That knows what it is (a throwaway crunk song), but COTRWAB tries to be this big statement about the U.S. and it failed completely. I haven't played this game (nj, is it too late to start?) but I would have picked that one.
Yes, Alex, I voted for this one. But if you want to win the game you must find the most popular choice. But I couldn't simply resist it. In fact i wrote in the mail I sent to netjade: "I suppose that it would be wiser to vote for the Black Eyes Peas that won the contest of the worst song ever, but you asked for a really awful, awful song, didn’t you?"

Anyone ever wonder if Hard Day's Night was the inspiration for Animaniacs?
I've thought that the humour style is similar. And at times, they made one of the characters have almost a Liverpool accent which reminded me of Ringo. (Forget which one..it's been a long time since I saw Animaniacs.)
