It's a Royal Enfield Model D. Lots of people think it looks like Princess Elisabeth. But I think she would only have been 15-16 when the picture/film was made. This is her though at about 18-19. Ron

It may well have been our future Queen Ron...........many of these 250cc bikes were kept in service up to 1944 for training.................

Definitely a Royal Enfield, and definitely not QE2...

No.1 TCMT (Training Centre Mechanical Transport ?)The black-white chequerboard indicates schools or similar establishments.

I've actually seen the film footage where the 1942 picture was taken from. Stupidly I didn't save it. It's a group of ATS girls riding round obstacles in an arena.

Here another C10 (resto by Ron) waiting for markings etc. probably Anti Aircraft Artillery, any B&W pictures of those markings??

You would think this is a nice little light bike, well it's not!! weighs just asmuch as an M20 it feels

Thanks Steve, there's also a colour picture in Crhis and your book, hence the idea!!

Re. Tilly's they are worth more now then the average jeep!! if I'd only known you were looking for one, I knew of one f/s and a nice one too, from Belgium, all original paint, and not much work on it, gone to the UK.

About 10 years a container load came from Malta, that might be the place to look.

Hi Steve i know all about the little one's my wife is just about 5 ft and she said id get a beating if i got another project
but thats ok ill get one all ready done
joking apart i think ill sell my Bsa car to help fund one !

do you know round a-bouts how much the fetch Nowa days ??
