I'm going to guess dirty projectors - bitte orca at 3. though their last few albums havnt really been recognised (rise above bubbling under). but i've heard stillness is the move and it is so catchy!

I'll wait for the clues but Sunn O))) is getting a lot of acclaim.

Dirty Projectors' song in Dark was the Knight was pretty catchy, if the album goes the same way it might be very good indeed.

sunn o)) is getting a lot of acclaim...i've been meaning to hear them for a while, but get put off by the album art (thats the kind of person i am...album art has a lot of effect on me, which is sort of a mixed blessing).

also, yeah DP does seem to be making this album full of catchy songs. I usually read Planet Sound (a music section on channel 4 teletext, due to lack of internets), who really like pure catchy poppy albums, and gave this a rave review (even though i wouldn't have thought this was the kind of band the main reviewer would like).

I'm now pretty sure my vote is going to be wrong, because aside from a few people who think it's amazing most people are saying The Bachelor is one of those albums that tries too hard and you can tell.

I know. "But...the label wouldn't let him release it. It must be good!" I must fight my indie instincts on this one! I must accept the possibility that Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and Extraordinary Machine were the exceptions and not the rule!

In fact, I'm pretty sure Dirty Projectors is going to win, but I already have it and all the good positions are already taken.

So I will cast a joke vote. I vote Jonas Brothers at #1!
