Henrik, who else should I have put in? I thought I'd go with some of the artists who made synth pop a well-known force of the late 70s and early 80s. I know there are many others to consider, and my own knowledge of several is too limited. I'd be curious to see who you'd recommend (and thus who I might look into exploring!) I would greatly recommend Replicas (one of my top 100 albums) to you, Henrik, and to anyone who either appreciates synth pop or future dystopia science fiction novels. Gary Numan was writing a novel of his own (largely inspired by Philip Dick's "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?"), but the ideas were absorbed into his music instead.
Here goes:
1. Depeche Mode (#12)
2. Kraftwerk (#24)
3. Human League (#31)
4. Gary Numan/Tubeway Army (#3
