IMO, there are only four great ROCK bands in America right now. The only one on this list is Drive-By Truckers. Southern Rock Opera's not their best, but it's as good a place to start as any.
Sinder Velvin: Well I like every artist in the top 60, and I'm hoping they still have "The Joshua Tree", "War", "The Complete Robert Johnson Vol 2" and "Daydream Nation" when I get there.

I've never even heard Smith before, guess I'm gonna have to give him a listen. The site says Either/Or is his best so I'll check it out.
Sinder Velvin: I was thinking those two, I have two VU compilations on CD and VU & Nico on vinyl, love all three. They get so much good stuff it's hard to decide.
