#1 Led Zeppelin
#5 Joni Mitchell
#3 Simon & Garfunkel
#2 Bob Marley (I don't like to vote out Hank, but...)
#1 David Bowie
#4 Miles Davis
#3 Pink Floyd
#2 Neil Young
#1 Led Zeppelin - Like Roy, but I'm on a bit of a LZ kick after watching that ridiculous fantasy sequence in the middle of "The Song Remains the Same."
#4 Otis Redding - Blow out of the day.
#3 Simon & Garfunkel - I like Cream better than a lot of people on these boards, but S&G takes it.
#2 Bob Marley
#1 David Bowie
#4 Miles Davis
#6 Crosby, Stills & Nash
#2 Neil Young
#1 Led Zeppelin
#4 Otis Redding
#6 Cream / Incredibly hard choice.
#2 Bob Marley
#1 David Bowie
#5 Janis Joplin / Incredibly hard choice.
#3 Pink Floyd
#2 Neil Young
Led Zeppelin (Is Zeppelin’s stature enough that I can vote for this band I respect but find kinda distasteful, over Roy Orbison, an artist I enjoy, admire and respect? Turns out, yes.)
Otis Redding (I like Joni quite a bit, generally her mid-70s stuff more than Blue. But this is Otis we’re talking about here.)
Simon & Garfunkel (A case of voting for a band I think is slightly overrated over a band I think is massively overrated.)
Hank Williams (Hank vs. Bob is probably our most iconic matchup today. Easy choice for me, though.)
David Bowie (Painful, painful choice. I would have taken Bo Diddley, my favorite 50s rocker, over any artist today except Hank W., David B. and Miles D.)
#1 Led Zeppelin (poor Roy)
#5 Joni Mitchell (poor Otis! That was tough)
#3 Simon & Garfunkel (two semi-overrated groups)
#10 Hank Williams
#1 David Bowie
#4 Miles Davis (if Miles doesn't win this I may have to bow out)
#3 Pink Floyd
#2 Neil Young (almost went with the Four Tops)
#1 Led Zeppelin
#5 Joni Mitchell
Love them both. Hate voting against Otis.
#3 Simon & Garfunkel
#10 Hank Williams
Another very unfortunate matchup. Hate voting against Marley.
#1 David Bowie
Again...
#5 Janis Joplin
And again...
#6 Crosby, Stills & Nash
If only because it'd be funny if they went up against Young.
#2 Neil Young
This region is ridiculous, I like pretty much everybody I voted against.
#9 Roy Orbison: Not a Roy Orbison fan at all, but this is still easy.
#4 Otis Redding: I wish Joni could have been in the previous matchup. Still, Otis slays here.
Pass (Don't know or care to know either well enough.)
Pass (Not fond of either.)
#1 David Bowie: A real favorite!
Pass (I like both, but don't know nearly enough to make an informed vote.)
#6 Crosby, Stills & Nash: An anti-Pink Floyd vote.
#7 Four Tops: I've never gotten the big hubbub over Neil Young.
