I don't have much hope for Built to Spill reaching next round, but I'm glad they appeared in UMT anyway !
#1 Oasis (One-and-a-half great albums. But almost anyone could take out Phish.)
#9 MGMT (I know I blather about AM ranks too much…but right now, Gnarls Barkley’s rank is 266 and MGMT’s is 646. My guess is that in about ten years, that will be reversed. MGMT is real, real good.)
Pass. I’d love to knock out AiC, but I don’t know Placebo well enough.
#13 Built to Spill (Struggled a bit with this one, but I’m going with BtS, both because they deserve it, and because, as great as M.I.A. is in the studio, she is just terrible live.)

#1 - OASIS - I cringe everytime I hear "Wonderwall" or "Champagne Supernova", but the rest of their catalogue makes me very happy. Phish is brutal in every way!!!

#12 Placebo - I have always been a huge Placebo fan, but up until a year or 2 ago this would have been an AIC vote for, one of my favorite bands of the '90's and I kind of like their comeback album from a few years ago. It was Placebo's 2006 album 'Meds' that puts them over the top for me, awesome. Plus "For What It's Worth" and their remake of "Running Up That Hill" make this a Placebo vote.

#11 Band Of Horses - To me "The Funeral" is better than any Crowes song, and I like a lot of Crowes songs. "No One's Gonna Love You" is better than The Funeral...
