RHCP...
MBV... Though I actually like a few MCR songs, don't tell anyone...
Sugarhill... I said a hip hop the hippie the hippie
to the hip hip hop, a you dont stop...
Guess Who... Though I like some lostprophets songs too...
GK & The Pips...
Massive Attack... Though I don't like voting against Thin Lizzy...
Jet... Too many people know of a-ha as a one-hit wonder, which couldn't be further from the truth. They have some good stuff, I just really like Jet for some reason...
The Doors... Though Hard-Fi is a really underrated band, they have no shot here...
Red Hot Chili Peppers
My Bloody Valentine
Supertramp
Lostprophets (love their 2 first albums, especially the 1st which is in my top 50 all time, even though I guess it is a lost fight in this forum !)

I guess my classic-rock roots are showing in a big way here...
1. Red Hot Chili Peppers
9. My Bloody Valentine
12. The Sugarhill Gang
Pass on the 4/13
3. Gladys Knight & the Pips
6. Massive Attack
7. a-ha
As for the last one…when I saw the Doors (easily my least favorite very highly-acclaimed band) appear for our consideration, I thought, “crap, I’m going to have to vote for them”…I had never even heard of Hard-Fi.
Then I checked out “Hard to Beat” and “Cash Machine” on YouTube. Umm…yeah, that’s more than enough. Jaws may drop over this, but for me it’s no contest:
15. Hard-Fi
Guess my classic-rock animus is showing in a big way here (apologies to Harold).

This group’s rankings are unusually Koyaanisqatsi, with a majority of artists placing way off their AM rankings. My guess is this will make for a wide-open competition here (I hope so anyway—go, MBV!)
MOST UNDERRATED
Massive Attack (UMT 346, AM 61); My Bloody Valentine (UMT 551, AM 127); The Doors (UMT 90, AM 30—truth in reporting); Thin Lizzy (UMT 679, AM 243).

Ug, I have a feeling MCR is going to win this, despite being an awful band against a great one.
#6 (346) Massive Attack
#2 (90) The Doors
#1 Red Hot Chili Peppers - I liked them better in college than I do now. They are not at all deserving of a #1 seed...in fact, in this bracket I'd put the Doors #1, Gladys Knight #2, and RHCP #3.
#9 My Bloody Valentine
#12 Sugarhill Gang - This was kind of a tough choice, but given the monumental influence of "Rapper's Delight", I have to go with the Gang...
#4 The Guess Who - I guess...not too excited about either
#3 Gladys Knight and the Pips
pass
#7 a-ha - agree, not a 1-hit wonder!
#2 The Doors
Today's favorite: a-ha
Today's favorite I didn't vote for: Supertramp
Favorite song in Today's bracket: "The Sun Always Shines on TV", a-ha
