If I could have figured out a way to shoehorn in a U2 album (just as Definitely Maybe was my #5 last week), I would have…but for me, no U2 album even has an argument to be ahead of any of these five. If my list were extended, U2 would have the #6 and #7 slots.

My top five U2, in order, are Achtung Baby. Joshua Tree, Unforgettable Fire, War and Under a Blood Red Sky. I’m surprised nobody else has picked that last one…sure, it’s a live album, but it’s also the one that alerted me that they were a really good band, and it still holds up.
