I'm not sure if we have decided anything about our next "pazz & jop" 2009 poll ?

Last thing I remember is that Alex D was willing to run it and that it'd start in january

I strongly suggest that we dropped the "pazz & jop" name that we usually give to this poll. It has no meaning anymore, it's like the scores in tennis, hardly anyone knows what it really means !

Let's call a cat a cat, like we say in French

Personnally I wouldn't mind if the 2009 poll was postponed, maybe until the spring or the summer. The more perspective we have, the better our lists will be.

I wouldn't mind waiting either.

Albums in March and songs in April?

I would prefer someone to take albums and I can do songs, but if no one wants to I'll run both.

I wouldn't really mind waiting, but I would prefer to do it in January. I've listened to pretty much everything I want to hear from 2009, but our pazz & jop poll usually has a few surprise entries which makes for some new listening material.

I'm putting this on top because it's getting urgent. January is tomorrow.

· Right now. Year end lists should always be done in the beginning of the new year. What's the point to do it later.

· In spring or in summer. You have better perspective to the albums released during the last months of the year.

· Never. 2009 was one of the worst years in popular music. Let's forget it right away and hope that 2010 will be better.
