We are homebuilders as well. Finished a cedar deck last yr with wood milled from our trees. Haven't found a sealer that protects from molds and such. Were hoping you had found products you like. May do our top board on rail with wood you used. Totally in awe of your work!!! |

Hello I was looking on line for info in IPE railing as my company sells the pre-assembled rails. I just wanted to let you know that we do make IPE caps 3 1/2 up to 5 1/2. I am blown away by your craftsmanship! Your deck and the gazebo are fine enough to put in Buckingham Place... And all of the furniture you h ave made! You have a very lovely family and I hope you are teaching your daughter your skills as well as your sons! I was the only girl in high school woodworking class and the lessons I took with me have helped over the years with our home improvement projects. Thanks so much for sharing your work! |

I love-love-love the gazebo! I was just thinking I'd love to turn my dek into a gazebo, but wasn't sure how it would work. Ours is much smaller than yours, and the whole thing would turn gazebo...do you think this would work?  |

Your deck and gazebo are beautiful! I am planning a similar project, but I need to finish it much quicker than 3 years, so my gazebo will probably be less elaborate than yours. Like you, I am a serious woodworker. Would you be willing to share some of your cad drawings with me? How did you learn to design and build the roof of the gazebo? How did you compute the angles on the roof rafters? Thanks! |
