I\'m so glad you resurrected this website Steve as it has so much terrific information both personal and historical related to the birth of the computer age in the 20th century.
What meaningful contributions you and so many others made to this great age we all enjoy now and which has radically transformed human living on this planet.
Congratulations!

Hi Steve;

I\'m semiretired (from IBM now) and decided to see if there was anything for us ADRers out there and ran across your site. Nice, many thanks for going into all that work!

I do have a comment on something: I see on Mike Carroll\'s Memoirs page he eludes that I received a lot of money for Mindover/MVS (that Artificial Intelligence program, it was an Expert System). I did not, I received $0 for it as, as he also eludes to, you write code while working for a company, even after 9 months at home, it\'s the company\'s and my boos Joe (Murphy) tried but did not succeed.

I hope everyone that reads this is well and happy, ADR was the best company I ever worked for.

Clark

I remember working through your code for 100-digit precision arithmetic on the UNIVAC I and being delighted at it! More than half a century ago, for goodness' sake!

Hi and thank you for your web site. Maybe you remeber my father Abraham Pressman who worked at Eckert-Mauchly after the war. He went on to write a number of books - first on Computer Design and then on Power Supplies.

Anyway, thanks to your site I was finally able to trace the origin of the print he received at the Univac Pioneer day in Chicago. I have it now (pop died in 2001) along with a printout of your web sites documents framed on my wall. Thanks.

You would not know what role he had at E-M or Univac would you? I have stuff from the 50's but not earlier.

Thanks again.

Dan

Hi Steve, Tom Rubino here. It has been many years since we have seen or spoken to one another. How are you? I hope all is well. I started at ADR in 1980 and I am currently still employed by CA, Inc. who acquired us back in 1988. I am an Operations Director for North America Presales. I see you have my name listed in the ADR 1988 listing. My position back than was actually eMail/Ideal Level II Support. I was previously a member of the Vollie Support Staff and you have Anthony Ruggieri listed as well who should have been listed under Systems Dept. Let me know if you need any updated information! Thanks, this is great!

Hired by Wick in 1967 as a programmer right out of programming school. Worked for ADR until 1972 at which time I moved to California to work for then former ADR President, Dick Jones (now deceased by the way). My first job at ADR was to format text into the decision symbol for Honeywell Autoflow. I eventually rewrote the three Autoflow main processing modules. My first office-mate was Mike Guzick. I will send more info later.
