After having done the best albums and songs of the '90s, '80s, '70s, '60s, '50s (and best songs of 1900-1949) poll, we will now attack the '00s. We will be focusing on the years 2000 through 2009 from February through November and for every year the 10 songs and 10 albums with the most points will go to the Final! This will take place during December. Everybody, from old users to newcomers, is welcome to participate in one or more (preferably all) of these polls.

The scoring in the polls is very simple and the same for both albums and songs:

I somehow didn't find the songs of 2006 (in the 2006 excel file there were 2006 albums and 2005(!) songs). I must have 06 songs somewhere but now there are only rank + artist + song + scores in the 2006 Songs sheet.
