If it was unused then why does it have a C-number painted on it/ And I can't find C4112074 on the list of BSA in British Forces Motorcycles. Only 411- series I can see are in the Norton lists?

Maybe that is why it is unused - 'cos they couldn't get it to fit on a Norton
