May be a silly question, but do tanks usually sell for that much?
Or is the seller just trying their luck, not that I need a tank

It's a lot of money for the later type tank...An early 'large' tank in good condition can fetch that much at a push, with the 'non cut off' types nearer to £200 or so...Ian

If it was unused then why does it have a C-number painted on it/ And I can't find C4112074 on the list of BSA in British Forces Motorcycles. Only 411- series I can see are in the Norton lists?

Maybe that is why it is unused - 'cos they couldn't get it to fit on a Norton
