Hi to Valerie and my sisters and brothers in Christ. Surely the Lord will come on time, we know this, God doesn't make mistakes. The wait seems long from our earthly perspective, especially as we age and as we become aware of the growing spiritual darkness around the world. So here are a couple hopes I have, that perhaps will spark encouragement for you.
Keep your blessed hope, that is, hoping and looking for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ for us. He is coming.

I'm wondering about Ascension Day, and also about 1 Sivan which is May 25 this year (by Hebcal).
Ascension day---wonder if we rise on the anniversary of when Jesus rose: Luke 24:50-53, Acts 1: 1-14
On Torah calendar, it has Ascension Day from sunset May 23 to sunset May 24.
On Hebcal, it would be May 21, the 40th day of the Omer. Pentecost is the 50th day of the Omer.

1 Sivan because of Ex 19:1 In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.

1 Sivan, 1st day of the third month is May 25, a few days away. Sinai is where the law was given, so perhaps as a "shadow" or "example" of what will happen one day when the 70th week begins, perhaps that week will begin on the anniversary of when Israel entered the wilderness of Sinai. I don't know, it just is a thought. Going to still hope in the Lord. He will come for us when it is time...best to you, Maranatha

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and encouragement for a possible Ascension Day Rapture. Since the Pre Tribulation Rapture has always been imminent, of course Ascension Day is a possible scenario for the Rapture. God knows the exact day and hour, however, the Lord did say we would know when it is near even at the doors. Everything is pointing to a probable Rapture in 2017, as bible prophecy seems to have speeded up now, and many things are in place for the Great Tribulation to begin.

I'm hoping that Ascension is the day of the Rapture of the Bride, at long last, however, Pentecost is also a promising time to expect the Rapture as well.

Afterall, it was on Pentecost that Christian Church was born, with the baptism of the Holy Spirit therefore, why not be taken at the Rapture on the very same day.

We know that the Holy Spirit is the One who will change our bodies in a twinkling of an eye, from a corruptible body to an incorruptible one, liken unto the Lord's. In some churches Pentecost is know as "White Sunday", and we know that the bride of Christ, will be clothe in white along with the saints. Pentecost means "50" days, and the number 50 in years, is looked as a Jubilee, a time to be jubilant, and what better day to be celebrate this day and the Rapture in heaven then on this very day.

Pentecost always occurs seven weeks after Easter Sunday; therefore 50 days after Easter (inclusive of Easter Day). It is a Jewish celebration of the "feast of weeks" and 7 weeks after Easter/Ressurection Sunday. The book of Revelation is filled numerous times where the number 7 is used by God in the scripture. The word "week" has 7 days in it, and weeks are two or more 7. This year ends with the number 7 2017.


Only God knows the exact day and hour, but we can continue to watch and hope with each passing day, that the Lord will call us to "Come Up Here", and meet Jesus in the clouds at the imminent Rapture. Therefore, I'm watching everyday, and especially on all feast days as well.

God will Rapture the Bride, on a perfect day, perfect timing, and His perfect plan will prevail. Look up our redemption draws nigh!!!

Significance of Pentecost 2017

Pentecost, also known as White Sunday, is a religious holiday that celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit on the early followers of Jesus Christ and also recognizes the day that the church was established.

History of Pentecost

Pentecost is the Jewish Festival of Weeks, which can be found in the Hebrew Bible. Shavuot called the Festival of Weeks and is also called the Festival of Reaping or harvest. Jews traditionally read the Book of Ruth at Pentecost as the story links with the grain harvest theme of the festival. Pentecost 2017, as a Christian feast, dates back to the first century. It occurs 50 days after Easter Sunday and falls on the ancient Jewish festival called the "feast of weeks".

In the New Testament, Pentecost was the occasion of the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ and therefore became a feast commemorating this occasion. The English word "Pentecost" is a translation of the Greek word pentekostos, which means "fifty".

It comes from the ancient Christian expression pentekoste hemera, which means fiftieth day (therefore applicable to the 50 days after the Resurrection of Christ). But Christians did not invent the phrase "fiftieth day". Rather, they borrowed it from Greek-speaking Jews who used the phrase to refer to a Jewish holiday.

Traditions of Pentecost

Across denominational lines, Pentecost 2017 has been an opportunity for Christians to honour the role of the Holy Spirit in their lives, and celebrate the birth of the church. The traditions differ between church denominations, with some celebrating the holiday more significantly than others.

Some churches decorate their churches with the colour red to represent the "power and fire of the Spirit". Churches often welcome new members or confirm existing members on Pentecost through baptisms and confirmations, and somewhat explains why some refer to the day as "White Sunday" in reference to the white clothing commonly worn for baptism. Additionally there are religious (church) services, Festive meals, Processions and Ordinations.

When is Pentecost 2017

Pentecost always occurs seven weeks after Easter Sunday; therefore 50 days after Easter (inclusive of Easter Day). In other words, it falls on the eighth Sunday (counting Easter Day).

Pentecost falls on Sunday June 4th, 2017; June is considered one of the busiest times for brides & grooms to be, and getting married in the month of June.

I just thought to share a bit of information from my research of "natural" events that in my opinion does highlight Pentecost or White Sunday this year. I believe it is significant and so I wanted to share it here. I am NOT saying it is the Rapture that will occur on this day - but I believe it will be a significant day because of the following data.

On the 1st Nisan, 5777 (Hebcal) (March 28th), in Australia, there was a category 4 cyclone named Debbie which hit the WhitSunday Islands and adjacent mainland coast.

Cyclone Debbie struck the Whitsunday Coast, Hamilton Island and crossed Airlie Beach at approx 12 noon. The tropical low was declared as Cyclone Debbie, a category one system, at 11:00am on Saturday 25th March but it intensified into a cat 4 cyclone about 10pm on Monday night, 27th March (noon UT).

‘Debbie’ is a shortened form of the Hebrew name Deborah = ‘BEE’. She was a Biblical prophetess who summoned Barak to battle against an army of invaders in Canaan

1st Nisan is 69 inclusive days until Whitsunday – or Pentecost Sunday on June 4th . ‘69’ - means “to end”, stop, cut off”. Could Pentecost begin the period of real battle for the saints, and possibly Israel too? This Cyclone hit the tourist areas in QLD –the pleasure seekers. Perhaps the message is that the pleasure seekers will be “cut off” from Pentecost Sunday. Does this signal a long awaited outpouring upon the Church in the ‘last days’ spoken of by Peter in Acts 2 on the day of Pentecost. – “ as of a rushing mighty wind” (Acts 2:2)

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

Interestingly, June 5th would be the 70th day from this cyclone in the Whitsundays. June 5th is the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the 6 day war in Israel, when they regained the Temple Mount on June 7th (72nd day) The number ‘70’ means .. “The restoration of Israel”. The number ‘72’ means .. sign, signal, mark.

In any case, I do believe that the Lord wanted to highlight White Sunday, Pentecost, and He did it with "a rushing mighty wind"on the first day of the year at the Whitsunday Islands.

Interestingly, there was another pointer to Pentecost Sunday, June 4th, that was given in the summary of Earthquakes ongoing at Christchurch. On April 25th, there was an instruction to "count 40". I wondered if it referred to the 40th day of the Omer (Ascension Day) or counting 40 from the date given which lands on June 4th, Pentecost Sunday. Both have "counting" involved.My conclusion is that we should be awake and alert and watching for the Lord to do something in this time frame.In my opinion, saying "count 40" on April 25th, was to highlight the actual June 4th date for us as the proper day of Pentecost. There is a lot of confusion for many because of the different calendars and counting systems.It seems to me that our Lord doesn't want us to be confused about His appointed times.



We all know that the Rapture is near, the signs are shouting at us. I think that the Lord chose the first day of the Hebrew year to send a sign to tell us to watch His calendar, the 7 Feasts, appointed times for clues. There have been signs attached to Passover, Second Passover recently as well.

With our eyes fixed on Jesus, looking up,for our Blessed Hope soon.

Hi Michelle, the Lord bless you and keep you! It is really interesting that "a rushing mighty wind" came on the first day of the year at the Whitsunday Islands.

A day will come when the 144,000 are sealed from the tribes of Israel. This needs to happen before the events of the seals and judgements, because they would need to be protected or else they might fall casualty to harm or the great deception that is coming. These individuals are already known to God.
Might this sealing happen on a Pentecost, them being sealed by the Holy Spirit? Might it be this Pentecost?
I don't know the answer to that, but am watching in these coming days, hoping for the appearing of our Lord.

They will be sealed after our departure in the Rapture, since they will take the place of the Church in evangelizing the world, along with Moses and Elijah, who will be sent back when we're gone. The result will be a numberless worldwide multitude coming to faith in Christ for salvation.

The sealing of the 144,000 is one of the things that must come "hereafter" that John was shown--Rev 4:1

Ascension Day - Officially falls on May 25th, 2017 this year on a Thursday, & Pentecost falls on Sunday June 4th, 2017..10 inclusive days later. The scripture state "you shall have 10 days of tribulation", as well. I picture this as a 10 day waiting period before, the official Rapture, takes place perhaps this Pentecost Sunday,June 4th, 2017.

Since Jesus the Son of God, is already second person in the Holy Trinity - Father, Son & Holy Spirit. Our Lord's Baptism was an example to all people how, this sacrament should be received and carried out. Jesus had no need to be baptised, as he had no sin and nothing to repent of. However, by John the Baptist, baptising our Lord, Jesus became our example. Jesus was already part of the God head with the Holy Spirit, and God the father send down Holy Spirit as a dove, to symbolize this fact, as a voice from heaven, proclaimed that Jesus is the Son of God, with whom God the Father is well pleased.

The Baptism of Jesus - Matthew 3:16

13At that time Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. 14But John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?”

5“Let it be so now,” Jesus replied. “It is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness in this way.” Then John permitted Him. 16As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. Suddenly the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and resting on Him. 17And a voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased!”…

Since the Holy Spirit will be the One to change our corruptible bodies into incorruptible ones, during the Rapture, it does make sense, that the day the church was born on Pentecost, it seems fitting that it should also end, by departure of the church/bride at the Rapture.

Keep watching each and everyday, and watch even closure on these two important feasts of Ascension & Pentecost, not long now. Ascension Day is 5 days away.

As mentioned above, I have felt that the Lord has been highlighting his calendar , especially this year. Passover and Second Passover seemed to be important to note and so, in our waiting time, I’ve been pondering these things. What follows may or may not be of interest, but I share it anyway, as it takes us to a passage of Scripture that coincides with the 40th day of the omer count.

I was thinking about the date 25th Iyyar as the 40th day of the Omer count, and wondered about it in relation to Second Passover in the narrative in Numbers. I realized there is a timeline there. Iyyar 20 is given as the day the cloud was taken up from the Tabernacle of the testimony (Numbers 10:11). It went 3 days (Numbers 10:33), then there was the murmuring within the camp, the giving of the quail for meat and the anointing of the 70 elders. This was just days after Second Passover was instituted. (Second Passover has a strong connection with the idea of grace - it was a second chance to observe Passover for those who missed it by being unclean or away. If we consider this in the New Testament context of Passover and what it means, we will see the grace aspect more clearly. Christ our Passover Lamb has been slain)

In the narrative, we see that the day that the 70 elders received the Spirit was on or about Iyyar 25 (40th day of the Omer- and equivalent to Jesus Ascension day) It is noteworthy that there were two elders who were not present at the Tabernacle when the Spirit came upon them – they were in the camp. Eldad = God has loved” and Medad = “beloved, friend”. These two were apart from the rest when the Spirit came upon them and they prophesied.[Numbers 11:25-29]

Numbers 11:16 seems to coincide with Iyyar 24 and the anointing of the elders the following day along with the giving of the quail on Iyyar 25 (40th day)

Interestingly, Iyyar 25 is the “55th “ day of the Hebrew year on Hebcal . 55 is connected with the bride. H3618:kallah = bride (value 55)

Thanks Michelle, for your further input on the subject. I don't believe anyone here is actually setting a date for the Rapture, including myself. I believe we are speculating of the possibilities and our reason of why we think it would happen during these time periods spoken of; especially Ascension Day & Pentecost. We know that only God knows the exact day and hour, however, we also know that we were told, that we would know when it is near even at the doors. It's extremely near, and there is a great probability that this may the the year of our departure. Therefore, let us continue to watch for the Lord's soon coming, for one of these days "when we least expect it, and we think not...the Rapture will take place".

Though we don't know the exact day or hour, we trust Jesus that He will come at the time our heavenly Father has planned. This week my hope is up more because I do wonder about ascension day. that 10 days between when Jesus rose to heaven and Shavuot/what we call Pentecost/the 50th day of the omer count must have reasoning behind it because God is like that--He plans, He is purposeful. I don't know the purpose, but maybe ascension day does relate to the church somehow.
There is persecution of the church now, in some places to death, other places to prison or other attack, but we know the church does not enter the 2520 days.
We walk by faith, not by sight----our hearts turn to Jesus in trust because of who He is, His character no matter what is going on in our world or in the skies. During the coming 70th week of Daniel/time of Jacob's trouble, people will have a whole lot of "sign" going on, supernatural judgements and spiritual attack to a degree that is exponentially more than we have ever known.

It will be great to be able to meet you face to face in heaven and realize we waited for the Lord together.

The time for some Christians to wake up from sleep, and realize that our salvation and redemption of our bodies, is nearer than when we first believed.

The night is far gone, the Day of the Rapture is at hand. Let us put on the armour of light, Jesus, whom dwells within every born again Christian. For those who are doing the works of darkness, partakers of evil, repent, and put on the Light Armor Jesus, for the benefit of your eternal soul, ignore, the gratification, desires, for the flesh. Jesus is the only way to Heaven.

Jesus is Coming at any moment now, be prepared to meet your Lord, very soon, and walk in the light of day, for if you are a child of God, you have nothing to hide, or to be ashamed of when you stand before, the Son of God. Let everyone of us, strive to hear those comforting words from Jesus, well done, my good and faithful Servant...Come and enjoy the place and rewards I have prepared for you and all those who love me.

My Comments after watching and listening to this video.

Ascension is on May 25th,2017 today is a "key" day. Jesus left the disciples with great expectation told to wait in Jerusalem a blessing to come, not many days to come.

Pentecost is on June 4/5 2017

When the day of Pentecost had fully come, "SUDDENLY" THERE CAME A SOUND FROM HEAVEN, etc.

Day 40 counting from the OMER Ascension today, Pentecost in 10 days.

Pentecost is the only Feast day which was looked upon by Jewish teachers as a “mystery” Feast, a Feast which was identified with a time of Gentile redemption. In fact, we shall see that the apostle Paul uses terminology pointing to the Feast of Pentecost and to the Offering at Pentecost in regards to the future resurrection of the Church. We also discover that this is the only Feast on Israel’s liturgical calendar which could typify the Rapture of the Church and at the very same time not be subject to the error of “date setting” in terms of its prophetic fulfillment.

In other words, we shall find that a Pentecostal Rapture of the Church does not violate the principle doctrine of “imminence” in connection with the expectancy of the Rapture coming of Christ.
