NPR: Songs We Love

NPR has an ongoing series, in which it spotlights "Songs We Love":

http://www.npr.org/series/122356178/songs-we-love

One feature is performances on Soul Train, so that would not be eligible for the site.

I know there have been other series-type features, where the source would add a song or album here or there, so I don't think this is too different. it just chooses a focus for each entry.

Most of the highlighted tracks have commentary; the Madonna and Dolly Parton have additional ones without commentary, but those are not part of the classics that they're putting the main spotlight on.

Note that there are two albums in the series; all of Gaye's tracks are listed, but not all of the Stones are. It is "Songs We Love," not Albums, so nothing wrong there, I suppose.

Re: NPR: Songs We Love

Great feature, but a bit difficult to add at AM, I think.

Re: NPR: Songs We Love

Thanks, Henrik. Do you feel it would be difficult in terms of distinguishing how to weigh it against other tracks? Like other series features, the source chooses what it wants to spotlight- in essence, anything not spotlighted/highlighted "suffers," if you will.

I would just look at the highlighted tracks (ones with commentary) and treat them as if they were regular tracks on a no-order list. Something to think about.
