Some expected well deserving picks and others that are... well: i hope others don't follow the path, this list doesn't represent 2010 at its best at all. Beyond premature indeed. But nice to see Avi Buffalo and Best Coast scoring nice spots and not too cool about seeing Interpol inside the top 10, a far cry from their first two albums and a lot of albums released this year.
most of these list start in November. I'm suprised this is the only one so far. I like that These New Puritans was included. I read a publication that said their album was not likly to make a single year end list and so far it's on the very first year end list. Expect to see Best Coast on many more year end lists. Any new artist that makes the cover of LA Weekly and are hailed by them as the coolest woman in rock (their lead singer Bethany)is going to be made a big deal by the time the year is over.
