All-Time : Rock & Folk (1997) : Absolutely Live (250 albums en public revisités)

I saw this one in my brother's library long ago, and I managed to find it back as I accessed it recently. This is a list of the 250 best live albums of all time according to french magazine Rock & Folk, issued in december 1997. The term "best" is not always accurate, since they admit that some albums are here for more sentimental than artistic reasons, but this is the leading idea anyway. To that, you must add two pages where they explain that they chose next to none Grateful Dead and Frank Zappa live albums, arguing that it would have been too hard to choose.

No Live 1966 at Royal Albert Hall? An outrage!

...except that Live 1966 wasn't actually officially released until 1998, the year after this list came out. Before that it was rock's most legendary bootleg.

Re: All-Time : Rock & Folk (1997) : Absolutely Live (250 albums en public revisités)

You are quite right, I was assuming it was a recent list, didn't see it was made in 1997.
