SPIN Magazine 25th Anniversary Songs and Albums

http://www.spin.com/spin25/readers-poll-spin-25

Spin listed 25 albums and songs for consideration in its 25th anniversary readers' poll. I would think the 25 albums listed also appear on the recent 125 Greatest Albums list (haven't checked). However, it didn't do a Songs list, so the Songs list gives an idea of what could appear on such a list. Should be eligible for the site, based on past similar instances.

Re: SPIN Magazine 25th Anniversary Songs and Albums

I haven't checked the other album list either, but I can 100% guarantee that the My Chemical Romance album was NOT on it. Which leads to the question of how the heck they came up with this readers' poll list.

Yes...

My Chemical Romance is the only album that does not appear on the 125 Greatest Albums list- maybe it was #126.

All of the others are there, some highly ranked (i.e. the whole top 10 is present in this abridged version).y I said that, if anything, the Songs list would be more useful, as there already was a ranked albums list. Maybe Spin will have a Best Songs list- but if it doesn't come up with one in the next couple of months or so, this may be the best we get.

Re: Yes...

Where did you find the list of the 25 nominations? According to the results on SPIN's page, Tokio Hotel's "Humanoid" came in second place, but is not included in the list of 25 albums above.

The Albums...

were listed when Spin first announced the poll, and then, understandably, were removed when Spin announced the results.

For the poll, site visitors could write in titles that did not appear, so that could explain the Humanoid appearance.

My initial suggestion was just to use the songs list (in a "No Order" manner), as SPIN published a list of its best albums of the last 25 years, but did not do so for songs.
