No idea what the last three albums will be.

Re: EOD Albums Treble (US) '00s

I am fairly confident Boxer will be among them.

Re: EOD Albums Treble (US) '00s

Yeah Boxer is probably a good guess. Also since the list is so incredibly indie something like The Glow might make it. Or maybe Endless Summer.

Re: EOD Albums Treble (US) '00s

Chutes Too Narrow has already been listed by the way. I think the remaining three might be the big hiphop albums; The Marshall Mathers LP, The Blueprint and The College Dropout. Surely they didn't leave those 3 out of the entire top 150.

I was thinking the exact same thing. At the very least, The College Dropout is undoubtedly in there considering that we've seen Late Registration already. And I agree that Boxer is probably a good bet as well.

Other possibilities:
At the Drive-In, Relationship of Command
Sigur Ros, Agaetis Byrjun
QotSA, Songs for the Deaf

Re: EOD Albums Treble (US) '00s

The College Dropout is probably a good call, especially considering the importance of rap tokenism in the indie world. That, Boxer, and my list is 19 leaving room for one more. At the Drive-In and Songs for the Death might be a bit heavy for the folks at Treble (who like cry and listen to The Smiths) but both are possibilities. Sigur Ros is another possibility but I think they were on the 90s album list.

No, it's 18 leaving room for two more - Chutes Too Narrow has appeared already, as Stephan noted earlier. In all likelihood, those two are the other rap albums you mentioned (Blueprint and Marshall Mathers), unless SB/TLB managed to outrank Stankonia.

Re: EOD Albums Treble (US) '00s

They make it pretty clear that Stankonia is their favorite OutKast album; they actually say it is. Yeah I made a mistake with Chutes Too Narrow, I still don't see The Blueprint in their T20, while I guess Marshall Mathers LP could fit the bill. From what I can tell the highest they've ever ranked a rap album was The Low End Theory at 3rd for 1991.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Re: EOD Albums Treble (US) '00s

So, no Marshal Mathers and no College Dropout, but Madvillainy and LCD Soundsystem. And Boxer, yay.

I'd say that result is fabulous.

Re: EOD Albums Treble (US) '00s

Yeah I'm very pleased with the results, this is by far my favorite EOD list so far. It looks like the results of a poll AMF would run.

Re: EOD Albums Treble (US) '00s

I and others here appreciate your efforts and sharing the info. What led you to this site, btw? And do pop back from time to time (if you're not going to make regular visits). :)

Rock certainly dominated in this book, without a doubt.
