Sorry I make more movies posts than anyone else. That poll we did last summer got me really into classic and art films, so you caught me at the peak of my obsession. 
Anyway, now's as good a time as any to start this since Moderate is over. Here's the rules we discussed before.
The poll will run the same way as the music decades polls, the biggest difference being there will be two weeks per year instead of a month. You can post 5 to 20 of your favorite movies from the year being voted on. You can of course list as many as you want, but only 20 will be counted. The point scheme will be the same as the decade polls. I don't know the entire point scheme though, so if somebody would be kind enough to post it, it'd be appreciated.
Year of release will be based on year of original release according to RYM. The 2000 list is here: http://rateyourmusic.com/films/chart?year=2000
The top ten from each year will go to the final top 100 vote. Additionally, if films that aren't in english don't do well due to lack of exposure, the top five best performing foreign films from each year will be picked for an extra non-english top 50 at the end.

Very funny, the first title will be the same for me...a so beautiful film, so real, so well played.
Do you know the other movies of Bacri and Jaoui ? If not, you can all look, they are admirable !
If a movie has a different foreign name than it's domestic name, I don't necessarily know that. So, if there's a different domestic name, please try to mention it in parenthesis, to avoid having one movie counted as two different movies.

I think you want the ENGLISH Title and, in parenthesis, the domestic name : Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Tigre et Dragon)

I don't want any specific format. Just, if the movie has two different major names, I'd like both listed. Like, what Henrik did in his post.

Yi Yi was one of those close but no cigar movies. I liked it when I watched it many years ago but I don't remember well enough the story to rank it to top 20. Nevertheless Yi Yi was one of the pleasant surprises in all time poll and I'm surprised it hasn't got more points.
I'm also bit surprised that Battle Royale has got only one nomination so far.
Bamboozled was a good choise Gillingham.
Not a top 20 material in my books but still underrated Spike Lee Joint.And I strongly recommend you to watch Sånger från andra våningen [Songs from the Second Floor]. It's just a pure masterpiece (the movie of the decade) and probably you haven't seen anything like that (unless you have seen another movie by Roy Anderson, Du levande)

I should rewatch Yi Yi, as i do not remember very much of the film either.
I will definetely remember the title of Songs from the Second Floor, thanks for the recommendation.
Actually, I am most surprised about Werckmeister Harmoniak. I expected more votes for that beautiful film.
