Actually, upon closer inspection pretty much everyone I like in the last ten years is in the 200-101 section. Jeff Buckley, Sleater-Kinney, M.I.A., The National. Looks like only a few broke the 100 barrier.
All those didn't make it and Super Furry Animals did?
The 'idiosyncratic pop' contingent must have voted in droves. I wonder how high the Flaming Lips got.
I think we've got quite a ways to go yet before we see how high the Flaming Lips are, no pun intended. I'm psyched Neutral Milk Hotel made it into the top 100, and unless I missed it we haven't seen Big Star yet. (Having said that, I will now go back and check.)
I really liked FOREVER CHANGES. The fact Love scored so well means I need to try and get my hands on more of their work I guess.
I'm more of a Paul guy than John but I'm still surprised Lennon is so low. I'd have thought he'd at least make top 40 as a solo artist.
I'm saddened that Chuck Berry is so low but considering the overall status of most 50s rockers when I've seen their name mentioned in threads (Bracketology for one) I guess I should be happy he even made it. Berry is part of the "Rock Mount Rushmore" for me.
Those graphs (Path to the top 100) looked so interesting that I decided to check if it's possible to see who is who (I love solving puzzles, sudokus etc .
So here is the list. Moonbeam am I right?
I post it here so it don't spoil fun for anybody if someone else wants solve this puzzle also.
