I'm a reasonably big fan. I would probably steer you towards the following:
Last years "the letting go" is a great album, I think. Some people found the backing vocals to be a bit 'fingernails on a chalkboard'-ish, but they didn't bother me in the least.
I also really love master and everyone, which was also released under the BPB moniker.
Aris Therefore and Viva Last Blues are the two pre-BPB albums that I like the most - thy were released as Palace Music.
