Number Crunching: Acclaimed Music & RYM

I took the first 30 albums currently topping the Acclaimed Music List and compared them with the top 30 albums currently topping the Rate Your Music list. Assuming Acclaimed Music represents CRITICS and Rate Your Music FANS, there's some interesting results when a percent difference is calculated based on the two rankings.

On what albums do critics and fans agree within 25%?

Positive sign indicates RYM ranks album higher than AM and a negative sign indicates AM ranks the album higher than RYM

The Beatles Revolver: 0% (#2 on both lists!)
The Smiths The Queen is Dead; (-13%)
David Bowie: Ziggy Stardust (13%)
Jimi Hendrix: Are you Experienced? (-22%)
The Beatles: Rubber Soul (22%)
Television: Marquee Moon (23%)

Which albums do critics and fans disagree with a percent difference of 175% or greater between Acclaimed Music and RYM

A positive gap indicates RYM ranks the album way higher than AM and a negative sign indicates AM ranks the album way higher than RYM. Note a majority of the high RYM rankings are for jazz albums.

Nirvana Nevermind (-197%)
Sex Pistols: Never Mind the Bollocks (-197%)
John Coltrane: A Love Supreme (194 %)
Charles Mingus: Black Saint and the Sinner Lady (193%)
Beach Boys: Pet Sounds (-186%)
Neutral Milk Hotel: In an Aeroplane Over the Sea (180%)
Miles Davis: In a Silent Way (179%)
Charles Mingus: Mingus Ah-Um (178%)
