There's also Top 10 style or country specific lists from individual writers. The number ones were:
• Flamenco: MIGUEL POVEDA “Tierra de calma”
• Argentina: ANDRÉS CALAMARO “El palacio de las flores”
• France: DOMINIQUE A “L’horizon”
• Brazil: VARIOUS “Trilha sonora do filme Vinicius”
• Soul: SOLOMON BURKE “Nashville”
• Jazz: TRIO BEYOND “Saudades”
• Ethnic: ALI FARKA TOURÉ “Savane”
• Country: KRIS KRISTOFFERSON “This Old Road”
• Reggae: BOB MARLEY & THE WAILERS “Africa Unite: The Singles Collection”
• Blues: BUDDY GUY with JUNIOR WELLES “Everyday We Have the Blues”

In my opinion, they're too much devoted to the classic untouchable names being or not in their best musical moment. But at least this list is very different of others indie-based lists.
