How would I go about comparing lists with different numbers of albums in order to arrive at a general consensus of the best albums? I am interested in using some of my favorite Best-of-2006 lists to see their combined view, but I don't how to do it accurately. Is there some formula I can use? It doesn't have to be super-accurate or complex, just something that can give me a general consensus. Thank you.

Just pick a number, top 20 or 40 and cut every list off there.
