Listened to this album again recently and I found myself struggling to understand why it's so highly rated. It's very well produced but I cant help feeling critics overrate it. What do you think?
I didn't like it very much the first time I listened to it, but it grew on me. 77 all-time is too high for it though, I think just outside of the top 100 was a good place for it.
Well I have tried to listen to it probably 5 times now and I still can't understand what all the acclaim is for. I mean Only Shallow is classic but the rest all runs together into one big, drawn-out shoegazer ballad
