MusicMax is an australian music TV channel. It made a number of best-of lists, which were aired during special Escape Weekends. Some odd remarks in various forums would suggest they were compiled by MusicMax's staff, but I'm not sure. If there any Australians here maybe they help?. These lists can be found here:

4 Madonna albums, and Like a Prayer isn't one of them? That makes it interesting- share the wealth, I guess! But... Erotica so high?!?
Pat Bantar;s album is *live* From Earth- suyrprised to see that included. These were compiled by the staff, and not a viewer vote?
in that some of those lists indeed would cause controversy! Some lean much towards the mainstream, as opposed to indie or alternative selections. But, nothin; wrong with that every now and then. But, Macarena as one of the top 10 90s songs?!?
And funny in that I was correcting a typo, and I managed one myself! Pat Benatar, it is.
There are some errors, either in years listed for some, or titles. I.e. for the Albums, it has Madonna at No. 99- but, is the album listed supposed to be True Blue or Like a Prayer? It has "Cherish" as the song listed (is that feature supposed to be a notable song from each album?), and the year as 1989- both applicable to Like a Prayer. I did find it fishy that hr most acclaimed album wasn't on the list, but it looks like it probably is! And for Ray of Light, it has 1999 (as opposed to 1998).
I sent an e-mail to Mx, and hopefully will get a reply (also in regards to how the lists were compiled).
If staff-generated, the all-time albums and songs lists look OK to use. Maybe the 300 80s songs and 200 90s songs, too. "Rock" songs is a genre, but what about pop songs? There are pop-songs lists included in AM (i.e. the MTV/Rolling Stone list), but Henrik would need to look at that.
rofl yeah 'Yellow' is such an incredible song right?
from my e-mail to Max. And, better chance of finding gold than getting an answer on the forum!
Also, the 90s list is no longer on the site...
Is Delta Goodrem on the list? I can't seem to find her but she has the most successful album in Australia ever, "Innocent Eyes".
12x platinum and was at no.1 for 29 weeks.
Her second album "Mistaken Identity" is 5x Platinum aswell.
Go Delta!
ok im the last person youed expect to be a Britney Spears fan, and im not, but my sister is and i usually let her liten to whatever she wants in the car so of course she choses the Britney album in the zone and i have to say i went out and bought a copy my self its pretty good not the happy goodey_good pop stuff you would expect. so im askin wheres the Brit
I suppose this isn't a critics list. Even Oz critics wouldn't rank "Whispering Jack" as the third best album ever :)
do you have the top 50 johnny cash songs?
Yikes! Hootie, Matchbox 20 and Creed? These guys really like some of the most hated music from the 90s.
snore.
Oops! Really old thread.
