Forum Poll: The Best Albums and Songs of 00's GUESSING THREAD

Hello
and welcome to the guessing area of 00's final results.

There's always debate about is it desirable to guess the order of albums/songs/artists etc. Some think it's great to guess and see what other people think the results will be while other think guessing would spoil the tension of the show.

So I started this thread.
Here you can guess anything considering the album and song polls of 00's.
Who/what band is the last?
Which ones were the most listened to (ranked by most or all of the voters)?
How high is the lowest album/song with #1 voter and what is the highest without any #1 vote?
And of course what is the order of the top 10?

So this is thread just for guessing. The place of conversation of released results (why that album is #100 although it's my favorite and should be in top 10 etc.) and everything else should be discussed in RESULTS thread (which will be open within hours).

If you don't like possible spoilers (don't worry I won't definitely participate in this conversation for guessing top 10 ) then maybe this isn't your thread (at least before the results have been released).

Ok, so my bet on the bottom 5 in no particular order :

Bat for Lashes - Two Suns
The Dodos - Visiter
Bright Eyes - I'm Wide Awake It's Morning
Primal Scream - Xtrmntr
The Wrens - The Meadowlands

I would say that 3 deserve this fate and 2 don't.

U2 might have a chance at ending last too, now that I think about it I'm not sure much people beside Henry or Slick will have ranked it high.

I don't expect much surprises in the top 5, guessing the bottom seems funnier ^^

I'm not sure which albums will get a #1 vote, Funeral, Yoshimi and Kid A are the 3 for whom I'm pretty sure and Yoshimi will be the lowest ranked of the 3 obviously.

I kinda thought about doing a thread like this but didn't have time. Here are my guesses for top 11 albums that I think my AM peers voted for. I came up with this list without cheating and going back to look at any former polls.

Well in the top 35 we have 6 albums from 2001 and 5 from 2002 and 2007. Four years have only two albums left in the game anymore.

Unfortunately you might be right about Fever Ray, maybe about Deerhunter and Missy too.
Idioteque has a good chance at top 50 and I don't see The Rat that low. Lowest Radiohead song might more likely be Reckoner.

It seems that Illinois is the consensus pick for number 3.

The chances of Arcade Fire taking number 1 depends on the sentiments of the poll participants.

There has been a fair amount of anti-Arcade Fire chatter in the Forum and Radiohead is very broadly (if not universally) respected by AMers, so that's why I figured Radiohead would take the top spot.

Most of the anti-Arcade Fire chatter was against the Suburbs not Funeral.
Funeral is much more accessible than Kid A, I think that's what makes the difference at the end.

So, as we wait for the songs results, here are my wishes :

Wake Up beating Rebellion Lies
The Past is a Grotesque Animal, Frontier Psychiatrist and Silent Shout reaching top 50
Do you realize NOT reaching top 50
Staring at the Sun beating Wolf Like Me (though I love both)
And good results for hip-hop song overall !

I realise that no matter how high I have "Precious" and "Keep the Streets Empty for Me" in my list they are a good bet for the bottom 10, but I just can't include them in my prediction.

I would really be surprised by Lisztomania that low, and I hope you're wrong about the other 3, especially Gone which is my 2nd favorite hip-hop song on the list.

I also hop Keep the Streets Empty for Me creates the surprise, but I would not bet on it.

I think this song will be number 1.

Precious, When You Were Young, and I Don't Feel Like Dancin' are good candidates for number 100.

Gone is definitely the best Kanye West song nominated (and his best overall pre-MBDTF); I hope the voting base agrees.

It had the biggest number of points and has no real dislikers so I think it is the biggest candidate. In my opinion, it is aging quite badly, was in my top 20 all time 2 years ago but now it's really slipping.
