Samba de Flora is sung in what sounds like Portunol, or maybe just Spanish with a slight Portuguese accent; I'm not fluent enough to tell. Fantastic song though. Vivo Isolado No Mundo is slower, but beautiful as well. Very tough choice, but I tend to like Brazilian music with a little more energy.

Zumbi is my own nomination, and one of my favorite songs in competition, so it would make sense that I'd vote for it, but Br'oZ is like a Brazilian Backstreet Boys.. and not in a good way, so that makes this possibly the easiest choice I will have to make in this entire tournament.

Beautiful song by Moraes Moreira, one of my favorite discoveries of the tournament so far. The album Tudo que você podia ser is on is one of those albums that everyone should listen to, it's gorgeous, and this song is possibly the most gorgeous of them all. In other words, another excruciating choice.. argh.. I'll decide later.

The mythical 1972 double album "Clube da esquina", a cornerstone of MPB (Música Popular Brasilera), opened with this wonderful tune that immediatly sets the scene with its dreamy and lazy tone.

Those two songs are very good in their respective styles; I have a slight preference for the latter, thanks to its melancholic mood, reminiscent of Portuguese fado and very close to Cape Verdian morna.

Aaaargh... the best 2 songs against each other...
When I nominated Pégaso I was aware it wouldn't go too far. Too candid, too childish for the serious AMers. But the melody is so incerdible, it brought me back memories of childhood as soon as I heard it for the first time. And all these bird names in Brazilian are so musical !!
PS (edit) : Moraes Moreira was the founder of the band Os Novos Baianos (they have one album listed in the top 3000), an excellent folky group from the great Nordeste city.
Tudo que você is one of the great discoveries for me; I have to admit I didn't know the song, the album, the artist (I don't know much about Brazilian music). Makes me want to dig deeper and deeper. So I'll be happy if it wins (which is likely)

Very beautiful, and I love the build to the wordless vocals at the end. Moreira is serviceable, but it doesn't blow me away.

For whatever reason, I found myself thinking my lack of understanding the lyrics was a much larger impediment to enjoying the music than the previous two weeks. I'm not sure why that is.

I was really enjoying this bracket, all good quality songs! Even did some dancing in between ...

This is super tough. "Lenda do Pégaso" is colored just the right shade of sweet and silly. "Tudo que você podia ser" had an alluring sway. The vocals at the end just win it for me.
