This is a single-elimination tournament with a couple of other differences with the regular game. First, there is no home-field advantage (all games are on neutral turf) and there are no virtual draws. In the event of an actual draw, I will post the result and the first five tie-breaker votes that come in will be the penalty shootout.
Last round's winners now face the teams that had byes. This round's criteria is "Desert Island Discs." If you were stranded on a desert island for one year and the only music you could listen to was a single disc with your ten favorite songs from one artist, which artist would you choose from each matchup? Voting closes at midnight on Thursday, Sept. 1.

The Clash vs. R.E.M.
Rolling Stones - Too much volume of good stuff
David Bowie - Close, but Bowie has more good singles.
Bruce Springsteen - Longevity helps in this round.
Bob Dylan - Not close
The Beatles - Closer, but not much
Prince - A top five artist for me is not going to lose this matchup
Radiohead - More diversity wins through here
Led Zeppelin - Close for three or four songs, but no after that
Jimi Hendrix - Perhaps the blowout of the round
Elvis Presley - I like three or four Cure songs
The Beach Boys - See Rolling Stones
The Who - Overpowering
Bob Marley - Closest matchup of the round, but what better music for being stuck on a desert island?
Blur - Very close, but I would have to have Song 2
The Velvet Underground - Consistency wins out over a top-heavy set
R.E.M. - More to choose from, more diversity. This is the Schleuse matchup.
