I keep forgetting to send out some love to Ari Up of the Slits who died on the 20th of this month. They put out a phenominal record before they even graduated high school. Wish they made more music but what they have recorded is highly influencial and downright brilliant. We'll all miss one of the original riot grrls.

I tagged along with a friend who knew a lot more about obscure music to see a show in Chicago during their reunion tour. Didn't know exactly how to understand their disorganized performance, but now I know that it was a unique treat to see them.
