The second round will start in a couple of days. There are 32 brackets in rd. 2 and from there we have 31 more brackets to crown a championship. In round #2 I will have the complete list of singles from each artist...

I find New Boots and Panties borderline unlistenable.
#3 (178) The Byrds
#7 (434) Jethro Tull

Surprised MSP are a 2 seed. Are they more popular in other countries?

4. Nas
3. The Byrds
Pass on 6/11
10. Veruca Salt ("Seether" > "Aqualung." Just as 500 > 7.)
2. Manic Street Preachers

POINTLESS OBSERVATION #1
Sam Cooke is UMT’s #50 artist and AM’s #100 artist.
Sam Cooke -- One of the greats!!!
Ratt -- Can't stand Courtney Love, was a big Ratt fan as a kid...
Joplin -- Not a big fan, but she ok...
NAS -- One of the good ones...
Byrds -- So many good songs in such a short period of time...
Tonic -- Some decent 90's altrock tracks...
Veruca Salt -- All about the Seether...
MANICS -- How this band was not big in the US still puzzles me to this day. Being one of the best of the 90's Britpoppers, they had the sound that was poised for big things acroos the pond. Never happened. Anyway one of my favorite bands...
#1 Sam Cooke
#9 Hole - I still like Live Through This better than Nevermind
#5 Janis Joplin - Don't really know Dury. Joplin is very much an "I have to be in the mood" artist for me.
#4 Nas
#3 The Byrds
#6 Sweet
#7 Jethro Tull - Tough call... I like both, and really like American Thighs and Aqualung. I think I'm into Aqualung more, though.
#2 Manic Street Preachers - A passionless vote for me.
Favorite this round - With all due respect to the sweet-voiced Cooke, I'm actually going to have to go with Tull. That's kinda funny the more I think about it.
