Re: EMusic EOD List

Good list so far. T10 will probably have the usual cast of characters; my guess is

Kid A
Funeral
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
Is This It
White Blood Cells or Elephant
Sound of Silver
Illinois
Person Pitch
The Blueprint
Return to Cookie Mountain

Of those I'm the least confident about Blueprint and RtCM.

Re: EMusic EOD List

Illinois probably won't make the list. They mentioned the 'title' for "Greetings from Michigan" that they thought it to be better than Illinois. I also haven't seen more than 1 album per artist yet, so that begs the question whether they're going to include Kid A. I hope so, because that would still give Boxer a chance to show up as well, which they rated higher than Alligator initially.

In a strange turn, only three of these albums are in there:

1/ The Strokes - Is This It
2/ The Hold Steady - Seperation Sundays
3/ The Mountain Goats - The Sunset Tree
4/ M.I.A. - Arular
5/ Burial - Untrue
6/ Ghostface Killah - Supreme Clientele
7/ Panda Bear - Person Pitch
8/ Spoon - Girls Can Tell
9/ Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights
10/ Arcade Fire - Funeral

I expect Interpol to keep rising into the top 15, if not 10, as more lists pour in. Deservedly, as well.

Re: EMusic EOD List

I had a feeling Turn on the Bright Lights would make it, but the absence of Kid A and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is pretty shocking.

Is This It has been doing quite well recently. It might soon be able to close the gap between it and Funeral (although I sure hope not). Seperation Sundays and Untrue have also been on a lot of lists recently.

And any time Supreme Clientele and Person Pitch do well it's a good thing imo.

It's quite nice to have some variance I must say. I love YHF and Kid A, two of my favorites of the decade. But seeing them on every list is ridiculous.

Re: EMusic EOD List

I hereby decree a new eligibility rule for the spreadsheet: only lists that contain SEPARATION SUNDAY will be added.

Ciara?

That's the WTF for this list.
