I appreciate the originals are thin on the ground. But does anyone have one on its own. I have a pair that came with the bike, but one of the castings has broken.

The bike came with the modern Girling shoes up front although these have there own issues.

So I’m searching for an alone shoe to make a pair. Or if you have a pair in need of a new home. I’ll take that as a bonus .

I'm pretty sure I have 3 off brake shoes with new linings. ( so one odd one) But having just had a hip replacement opp, it might be a week or so before I can venture to the workshop. Ron

I have seen some steel aftermarket or homemade bodies ? With bonded linings as opposed to riveted., whilst searching. But no details

Ron, when you’re able. Not in an immediate rush. Frame is being painted at the minute and wheels have just been dropped of to be re spoked.

I managed to retrieve the single brake shoe. Condition is good and meat left on the lining. £40 inc post in UK. Ron
