To be honest I don't know of mine needs replacing. I've stripped the clutch down to source a noise. So far what I have discoverd is that some of the links on the chain are very sticky and the sides of the chainwheel a bit worn and teeth sharp but not hooked.
The chain doesn't look like its overheated and is oily and has down about 8K miles. I might just try a new chain for now and see how it goes?
The clutch parts I started making some time ago was to prove that if the single spring clutch was made to a higher standard with better materials all the problems would go away.
The lack of good clutch plates has put me off a bit. There must be a UK manufacturer.
