I've now given up on my Lithium Battery, the electronics in it cause to much trouble for basic charging.
I purchased a couple of Cyclons, but found they were a bit snug in my cast battery box.
As a simple way out I'm using one of these rubber boxes for testing. https://pesltd.uk/?product=PU7D
At the moment I've left the led bulbs in place.
If all goes well with charging I'll try the 55W halogen that gives a good beam.
So what do people do with the Cyclons?
Carve the case out or trim the batteries?
I'm using a Cyclon 6v 8ah monobloc which is the same length as the 5ah - a little deeper and a little wider and not much less capacity than two of the smaller type.
I use a halogen pilot, but as headlamp, old stock 24w / 24w envelopes 'cause they can be seen through the Difusa and small bulbs look wrong. :grimacing:
I've used a 5amp 6V Cyclon in all my magneto bikes for years. For a coil ignition bike I double them up to give 10amps. I try not to ride in the dark but I usually use running side lights. Ron
