1944 WM20 Dispatch date

Hello Everyone,
Can anyone give me a rough date when this M20 from contract / C5214760 with frame number 104060 would have likely have left the factory ?

Probably would have served in Europe but in time for the invasion maybe ?

That's contract S2603, and the last one (frame number 104870) was delivered on 1-7-1944, so yours is towards the rear of the contract, probably not in time for Normandy

Your Census number on the tank would have been C5214760, bike is not in the Key Cards, so no extra info unfortunately.

Obviously, replacements were being supplied through the campaign and new units arriving. I believe that C5214569 was in service with Canadians in The Netherlands.

That’s interesting Rik.. it would have probably served in Europe. The C number isn’t far off so maybe it went to the Canadians!

Looks like it was probably dispatched May/June 44
