I have just restored a mag MOL-1, 1943 dated to go back onto my M20. I have just noticed the underside has no feet - pegs fitted to it, the 4x that would slot into the top face of the rear of the engine cases.
Aware that there is the banding across the top of the unit, are these pegs vital and if so can I buy replacements anyway?
I think the threaded holes are whitworth, you can use some old whitworth short bolts, just have to saw the heads off to the correct size a small chamfer and a slot on the end to screw them in,I've done it in the past and works ok.
