This Triumph 3SW was used in a wartime issue of Motor-Cycling on maintenance,the darker shaded parts were being discussed in this image,the petrol tank has the 2nd Armoured Division insignia,this division took part in the western desert battles was destroyed and never reformed.

I put 2nd. Div markings on my 5SW when I rebuilt it...They were, in fact, only in North Africa for a very short time before they were routed by the Africa Corps..Even their headquaters unit was captured/destroyed...Can't post a picture of the 5SW unfortunately since the demise of Imgur.....Ian
