I am ready to install the clutch to the gear box mainshaft but have a question about the clutch sealing ring part number 66-3813 which is fitted to the rear of the clutch sleeve.
I note that Draganfly's sell a felt ring and other suppliers sell a cork ring, both have the same part number.
To add further to my confusion there is a previous thread from 2015 titled "Clutch cork seal installation M20" where one of the authors talks of a "conical felt washer" which needs to be installed along with the cork sealing ring to reduce oil leaking.
Can anyone cast some light on what parts I need as I can't see this conical felt washer listed in the parts manual I have or do I need to fit Draganfly's felt seal along with the cork seal?

The cork ring #63 will need to be boiled and oiled as they are often dry and split when you fit them which is probably why Drags sell a felt version. The other cork or felt conical seal is #72 on the kickstart end of the push rod. I've never ever bothered to fit one. Ron

There's also the conical felt seal that fits into the countersunk face of the outer end of the sleeve gear bush..However, as this isn't shown on Rons picture (though it may be shown on the gearbox illustration) I'd have to check the parts lists to confirm that this wasn't a post war fitment only...As Ron noted about the pushrod seal I don't fit one either...To avoid breaking the cork seal as you fit it over the mainshaft, oil it, then fit it into the back of the clutch sleeve and fit both parts together...Ian
