November 1943 BSA issued amongst others canvas grips and a new version of the crankcase sheild,this errata slip was added to this issue of the spare parts list,the change over to these items came quite late in the production run.

Not canvas grips, just one, maybe the other one was already canvas? but either way it would look odd to us rivet counters now with one of each.
