It looks as if it has had R.A.F. Squadron crest transfers on the toolboxes. That would be enough provenance for some to paint it blue-grey :grinning:

Very close reg numbers on them,both of them also have the original military tail light which has been bent down and used as a bracket to hold the rear number plate.

Decades ago I once owned a WD/CO with the registration JYR646. I guessing the JY(?) might be rebuilt motorcycles that were once WD. I wonder who owns it now.

Don't think so Chris... According to my Glasses Index, JYR is a London series that has been issued from July 1948 until October 1949. JYV is also a London series, issued from August 1948 until March 1949.
According to the DVLA, JYR 646 is now on a Range Rover.

JYV 468 was for sale on the internet in 2011. See pictures above. One year later (2012) it was for sale again, but by now it had lost its original registration number:



According to the DVLA, JYV 468 now adorns an E-type Jaguar.
