Ok so I opened up the gearbox to inspect and make sure all was right and nothing was going wrong due to my other issue I posted on. Now I cant seem to get the box back into nuetral so I can put the cover on and put it all back together and going. Can anyone help me on how to do this without stripping the bloody thing off the frame and pulling all the gears and reassemblying them. As I really need to get this working and shifting by saturday.
ty... i dont have the things specialty tools in the manual. Only my wrenches and drivers. since I messed up with the reassembly can I pull the gears out of the case with the gearbox still mounted?
Well you'd need to remove the clutch and gearbox sprocket to get the mainshaft out. By which time you might as well put the box in a vice and then also replace the open bearing with a sealed bearing.
