Thanks Rob. It turns out the photo has a date and location on the back. He was supposed to be a linesman in the 1st. Royal Sussex. After a spell in Austria in 1945 he returns to Italy and back in the Royal Sussex. Mentioned in the Rolleston Gassett. Mark
