I guess you all are familar with this picture as found on the "winternet" ; %%bbCodeItem_1%%
Unfortunatuly some dimensions are impossible to read. Could anyone please add or discripe the correct lenghts and thicknesses of this M20 girder forks? any other information about fork-dimensions are most welcome as in this link http://www.wdbsa.nl/Front%20fork.htm there are many facts noted by Ian ( thank you very much ) but unfortunately not all I think I need
Arnold those are my jottings. I've just had another go at it to include the overall length, based on my own "short" forks measuring 8 1/4" at the spindle distance (It looks like they have written it as 8 8/32" which makes the overall length 25 12/32". My own forks are the early 1/2" shorter than those in the drawing. It seems a strange way to display the measurements in multiples of 32nd inch? I can of course check it against mine tomorrow and add the 1/2". I can also convert all of the measurements to metric if you want. Ron
Hi Ron, yes this will help. do you also know what the numbers at the midsection mean...I see something like 2.781 CRS at the left of the drawing and some unreadable numbers near the midsection..
OK Arnold. Forget that previous drawing. I've checked against my forks and I'm pretty sure these are the correct dimensions. I altered the centre measurement it's 5 11/16" and not 5 11/32" as I first thought. (CRS = between centres) If you have the short forks subtract 1/2" (12.7mm) from the 17 1/8". Ron
