I need to fit a new exhaust valve guide to a G3L iron head . Can anybody tell me which way out they come, is it from the combustion chamber up, or the spring side down . My manual is not to clear on the direction.

Normally on the later heads they say press down into head, guess it won't hurt for the earlier heads too.
