Proper petcock WMD 20

I'm in need of petcocks for my m20 project.
1942 frame.
There are many "new" models out there, but I would like to obtain the correct ones.
Push type appear to be appropriate.
Many thanks for any input.

Re: Proper petcock WMD 20

The Enots slide type are correct. Ron

For some reason it's not allowing me to upload an image?

Re: Proper petcock WMD 20

Hi Andy,

Try Vintage Replica. They make excellent quality repros.

Re: Proper petcock WMD 20

It depends what Andy H means by "correct ones". The original were Enots Hexagon taps. Jiri in CZ seems to have little worry about trade marks etc. and his parts are difficult to discern from original.

Weren't BSA taps 1/8" BSP into 3/8" adapters ?

Re: Proper petcock WMD 20

OK I'm back to posting pictures. Rik is correct in what he says. Originally they were the Enots 1/8 x 1/8 BSP taps but most nowadays have probably been changed to the more readily available 1/4 x 1/4 BSP taps. Ron

Re: Proper petcock WMD 20

All,

Thank you for this as this information.

I am grateful to you all as I am new to owning a BSA.

Been looking for many years.

Life changes a bit when turning a wrench on one.

Thanks again,

Andy
