Thanks all, this made some very interesting reading for me.
My penny; Few years a go I had a firm making small (about 40x70mm) gauze filter holders for cast alloy sumpplates that I made for Ariel singles.
First company (via a clubmember) had them laser cut but the edges melted as the material was only 0.5mm .
I found a waterjetting company that was able to cut them, they where flawless.
But regrettably this waterjetting company now only wants to take 'large' jobs and not my 50 items .:unamused:
